 Hi,

 

 Been looking at one of these Avondales the Argente 640-6. 2004 model

 

 Anyone got any good/bad reports on these apart from the usually cracking panels etc...

 

also after correct towing weights if any have them to hand, wanting to pull it with a Citroen C-Crosser!!!

Hi we've been thinking about getting one of these ourselves, or the 650 model. I spoke to a dealer and he said to avoid them because of Avondale going out of business and panels being hard to find .He told me he would give 5k for 2004 model. I still like them and surely if there was going to be any damage to the panels there would be some sign of it after 5/6yrs of being made? It's a tough one isnt it! I rang about a sprite quattro yesterday which was lovely and had good reviews but sold unfortunately, maybe look out for one of those too, or an Elddis Avante?  We want to buy a new caravan now before the prices zoom up for the summer.

Thats a lot of money!!! They're having a laugh. I've seen them go for about 4k cheaper!

I bought in England 2 years ago near Liverpool it's a beutiful caravan but I haven't got enough use out of it to be honest. . Price is £8,500 ono.
