Not best subject, but when our cassett tiolet is full well used and you take it out to empty unless u carry it flat it leaks out of center seal (one where u flush into) does this mean it needs new seal ??
Sounds like it Rob12, only 6 screws follow the instruction as there is only one way to fit it,also I think there are two sizes depending when it was made, took me five mins to do mine last year.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
Do the seals go very quickly? Only had our van 6 months and I wondered if I detected a slight leak last time I emptied it. It could have been water on top though. Sometimes if you flush after use and empty shortly after, water can collect in the top.
Before you buy seals, just check that the vent valve is not stuck. If the toilet has been very full at some point, it is possible for some semi-solid matter to jam the valve. A little cleaning with a small screwdriver and a rag, followed by a squirt of WD40 fixed ours in no time.

not really they last a good time.before you empty make sure non is left on top of the cassete.as a rule this is flush water.lubricate the seal with olive oil.do not add the toilet fluid through the opening inside as this can distort the rubber seal.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Thanks for that, Michael. Good reminder about adding the toilet fluid in the correct way. Saw a friend of mine adding it the wrong way and thought about the seal.
How often do you use olive oil? I presume it just helps it seal better?
