Today we have put a deposit down on a Sorento 2.5.xs, we have traded in an X Trail 2.2DCI hoping we have done the right thing ??? We now have a bigger choice of vans, as everything i looked at was too heavy for the X Trail,,,we currently have a 6 berth Abbey Aventura single Axle that was fine with the X Trail, however we have been slightly apprehensive about the reputation X Trails have blowing the Turbo, so it was time for a change !! we were beaten by half an hour by a lady, at the garage to a Citreon C Crosser which looked lovely, so off this weekend to have a look at some BIGGER vans,,,,,hehehehe

We also changed from an X-Trail to a Sorento 3 and bit years ago and have just purchased another new Sorento auto XS. Not towed with the new one yet but the previous one was a superb towcar.
You were lucky to be beaten to the car leaving you to then go for the Kia. Great cars for towing...you won't know you have anything on the back
Have Fun

Don't agree with the above statement, I have the Mitsubishi and it's a very good car and after looking at the KIA find it superior, but that is not taking anything away from the KIA, still a fine car !
As for the second part of the statement, unless you tow with an artic you will always know you have something on the back !
Do you get 45 mpg when towing too ?
------------- FINE PRINT: I reserve the right to be wrong. Should you prove me wrong, I reserve the right to change my mind.
I get 37 mpg around town and 37 when towing which I thought was pretty good but 45 is impressive...do you switch off going down hill?

We got our Sorento XT in December - not towed with it yet but very happy with the car, no problems in the snow recently. We swapped from our much loved Alhambra because we got stuck on a site in October after a very wet night and had to be towed off...very embarrassing for my hubby who drives a Land Rover Series 3!
Lorraine....... Congratulations!!!!!!
I knew you'd eventually get one, you will be impressed with it I'm sure.
I replied to the other thread on here, email me the details .

Hello Claire, show was very good today, really enjoyed it, lots of new vans on show, and it was much more relaxed and less pressure than at the NEC, not a grat deal in the accesory hall though, my step dad was offered a really good deal for his 2 berth Abbey Archway against a 4 berth Lunar Quaser, but he is dithering because they have ordered a brand new Kia Sportage this week, nice steady rub over the tops and parking is underneath the sow so no problem,,,worth a run out take care Lorraine xxx
