Hiya

Mr U-M and I rather like the Sterling Coastline Excel 550 at Highbridge - which is a Sterling Europa 550 'Special Edition'.  However, we have a couple of questions:-

What is the external measurement (approx) from the left hand side of the door, to the right hand end of the bedroom window?  We have a Pack 290 awning and are wondering how it might fit against the van.

What full size awnings are people using with this model van?  We already have an Isabella 975 and are assured that Isabella have confirmed it will just about fit this van ('A' measurement = 987) but it will be very tight.  Apparently, Isabella do make a 989cm awning now, especially to fit these vans and if we were buying a new awning, this is what Isabella would recommend. So, has anyone put a 975 on their 550 van and how does it fit?

Many thanks again with your help in our decision to buy a new van!

260cms but that is the mean measurement and does not allow for poles and padded covers that you usually get with porch awning. We don't have a full awning so can't help there.

Cheers - thanks David.  Our Pack 290 does have poles & pads which rest against the van. I will check out the spec and see how it matches up.

- Have just checked and our awning is actually a Pack '260' - which not surprisingly - measures 260cm.  So that might barely reach from the window to the door, without preventing the window from opening.

Hi

We purchased a pyramid lite corsican awning for our 550 and it is what I'd call a 3/4 awning being 3.5m x 2.4m and if fitted in front of the door it will not cover any windows (I hope, Mrs 1 will not be happy when we go away for the first time in this van next weekend and the awning doesn't fit so if I'm not on here after next weekend .............................................)

With regard to the full awning we have a size 13, 975 Doreema something and we are hoping that it may fit the van but until the better weather gets here we are not going to try it.
