Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get 50 metres of foodgrade hosepipe to fill my water tank from cheaply ??

(Has to be this length as on seasonal pitch and this is the distance we need)

Hi, I would guess any clear pvc hose will do, you may want reinforced, but it has to be clear not black, as they will contain carbon in the construction.

I would also haggle for a discount, Arco may be able to give a hefty reduction, maybe 50 - 60% if you ask.

Hi

Food grade hose is ok BUT make sure it is not clear as the fungal build up in sunlight is horrendous in clear hose, it will stand being run over etc if it is reinforced.

The other consideration to make is that blue or red hose (the common food grade hose colours) will attract the sun and in the summer you will probably be able to shower with the water from the hose it will be that warm! Not that nice to drink though.

I got mine from the local Pirtek depot they do know how to charge though so be sitting down when you ring
