OH and I went to Catterick Caravans at the weekend. I could have sworn the salesman who told us about the Charisma end bath fixed bed was wearing a Discover jacket and the signage seems to have changed.
Does anyone know if Discover annexed Catterick Caravans?
Not quite sure about the Discover link but Catterick Caravans have acquired the rather large site on the Brompton on Swale road near it's current site so it looks like they're planning to expand in a big way!!!
I went to Ropers caravans at Washington a couple of weeks ago and they have moved to catterick caravans, I knew they were linked maybe that explains the bigger site. Can't help you with discover though.

That is not correct !
Ropers have shut down there Washington site and have transferred all stock to there site at Catterick (Ropers Caravans)
Catterick Caravans is a different dealer which has just taken the Lunar franchise, and they have bought the land next door after trying for many years to create a bigger car park and pitch for more caravans.
Hope that clears matters up.

Just a quick message to let you all know that Catterick Caravans does not have any connection with either Ropers or Discover, just a coincidence that we decided to go green at the same time as Discover!
I am also pleased to confirm that we today extended our displays onto the recently purchased adjoining 3 acres creating an enlarged 8 acre super-site. We are currently building a huge caravan showroom, significantly improving customer parking, as well as creating a dedicated customer despatch area for both caravan sales and after-sales.
And we are still very much a friendly family owned business!
Kind regards

p.s. I hope this isn't too much of an advert....I just felt that the discussion deserved a response! :-)
I went to Catterick Caravans last June when we were camping at Ripon and were flooded out and needed something to do. We came out with a Coachman Laser and I dread to think what we've spent there since. Sales staff are superb (especially jeff) and it is good to know they are expanding so I can spend yet more money.
We often pop over there from Bridlington. Sounds a long way to go just to shop and browse but ...well...The Wolds, The Howardian Hills, Vale of Mowbray, Hambleton Hills, Swaledale Coverdale and Dalby Forest there and back. Wonderful journey. Super caravan venue to visit if you are ever in the area. Now its expanding I feel a trip coming on
