Could someone tell me what size porch awning (min and max sizes) i need for my 2004 Bailey Ranger 510/4 . I am not sure about the sizes , are they from roof of van to floor of van , or roof of van to ground level ...Doh ..Cheers
Hi, we have a Bailey Rabger 510/4 2004 and we just use a standard lightweight porch. Most porches now come in size wise with an allowance between 2 sets of numbers, Bailey vans especially our 2004 one fit very well with Starcamp, Sunncamp, Kampa, and Ventura porches. We have had a Starcamp one-used it till it died, then we got a Kampa Fiesta porch--brilliant, we also have a Sunncamp Ultima 390 full awning and a Ventura cadet porch. All fit very well. CHeers Gary
All you have to worry about for a porch awning is the height of the caravan from awning rail to ground (some porch awnings give a min & max height they are suitable for) otherwise any porch awning will fit but it is best to avoid the side of the awning going down a window although you can normally adjust the position to avoid this. We have a sunncamp Ultima 260 with our Ranger 460 but the 390 will also fit (just).
We had a 1999 Ranger 510/4 until 2 weeks ago with an Ultima 260 awning. It fits fine without crossing a window. It goes from in front of the kitchen window to behind the door.
Great benefit of the porch is, having changed our van we can still use the porch awning.
