We have the Challenger 570 but the cabinet is the same as your 550. Be aware that some of the on line stores include the stand when stating the depth of TVs. It took us ages to find a tv that would fit, we found that most 15" sets were either too deep or not great spec wise. We spent hours wandering round tv shops with tape measure in hand without much success. Eventually we re-measured the cabinet and found that the width of 390mm was a bit mean and a tv of up to 450mm could just be squeezed in. We finally settled on a 19" Samsung which fits a treat. We have a dealer special Charisma 550 and I have fitted a UMC 15" flat screen dvd combo tv that came from Currys for the bargain price of £170 I think, about 18 months ago.
It does swivel for veiwing whilst in bed and, whilst we haven't actually tried it yet both of us feel that it will be perfectly usable from both the bed and lounge.
Swift have now fitted 2 metal catches to secure the frame in postion and it was stiff to drop to start but in fairness now the TV is in place it seems spot on, just needing a gentle pull to lower it down.
The only concern I have is to how long it will be before I manage to catch the plastic arm that rotates the blind and break that when putting the TV away.

We also have a Rockingham. On our trip to France and Spain last year we took our 19 inch Samsung but it is just a touch too big. It hs a curved trim on the bottom which does not help! We had to machine out the supporting member to fit it in. It such a shame that Swift dont make the cabinet big enough to that a 19 ince TV with ease, there seems plenty of room. Personally I don't think a 15 inch TV is large enough for comfortable viewing and of course there is a much large choice of 19inch TV's around than smaller ones!

Hi
I have just bought a new Europa 550, can anybody help with this issue
I have a drop down mechanicsm for a TV which Swift till me the maximum dimensions are for a 15" LCD
H 336mm
W 390mm
D 70mm
My Van hasn't been delivered yet so cant measure my self! I have been looking for TV's on the net and all the 15" dimensions are slightly bigger???
Hi Chrissy
I posted a similar note recently. We have ordered a Sterling Coastline Excel 550 - which is based on the Europa 550. We are due to get it in early April.
Likewise, we are wanting to know what TV's will fit into the holder - hopefully something a tad bigger than 15" if at all possible.

Unfortunately our van is in storage and the telly is in the van, but i am pretty sure it is the Samsung SM933HD. Just for info, the stand is already attached to the telly and needs a very firm pull to remove it from the body of the tv made hubby a bit twitchy he thought he was going to break the darn thing.
Ok doke thanks, I looked at the Samsung on the internet and it has a width of 454mm and the LG i've seen is a little smaller in width 449mm so will proably go for that one just incase
