Consider getting a mobile engineer to do a pre-purchase report for you. Its not expansive and worth every penny.

Ahhh....

Soggy Swifts and leaky Lunars and I suppose boggy Baileys - I doubt you can find a caravan manufacturer that has not had a van suffer from damp and have had a wet name appended to them.

Mind you that's not to mean that the same manufacturer hasn't made vans that didn't leak - they just rarely get mentioned of course...

I think you are right, but if you have a damp problem like I did with my Swift a few years ago, and then start to dig, you can find out quite a few facts regarding problems with vans that the manufacturer would rather people didn't know too much about! Mine was a 97 Challenger and it would seem that there were sealant problems around that time. I spoke to several caravan engineers and they confirmed it!
I also asked the same engineers which vans were in and out of the workshops for damp repairs the most, and which the least?
I think you can work out the answer!
