1, Towsure Portico Plus  or 2, Porchlite Square Porch Awning

Thanks in advance

I had the Towsure porch and found it leaky (might have been a dud of course), but exchanged it for an Outdoor Revolution Porchlite XL and found it to be far superior and no leaking whatsoever.
I'd opt for the Porchlite.

We have Sunncamp Scenic Plus - looks pretty much the same as the Towsure Portico.  It's really quick & easy to get up - takes one person 20 minutes ish.  Brilliant for short weekend breaks when you don't want to put a big awning up but need somewhere for wet coats & shoes etc...

Check ebay - there are some new & used ones on there.

Have a look on here, their prices are really competitive.

http://www.waudbys.co.uk/products/clearance_items.html

I bought a sunncamp 260 last month that someone had taken home, tried it on their caravan, didn't fit and returned it. I got it for £75.

They also had some brand new 2009 gren sunncamp 260's that they were willing to sell for £90 (although I notice on the website they are about £120)

Love the porchlite square (see pics on my gallery)
We only bought it in Feb and it goes up a dream - withstood the gale force winds last week on the West Cumbrian coast and no leaks, kept all the wellies, bikes and veg dry as a bone even though the rain was torrential. Amazing value for money in my book!

We do have a full awning also but the porchlite is perfect for the short or winter trips.

Also considered the portico plus. The portico plus is wider (thus takes over more of the windows) and is two poles rather than the single pole of the porchlite square. We only wanted a porch/bikestore/wellie store so wanted to keep it small but if you needed a bit more room than that perhaps the portico plus would be better.
We didn't get the draft thingy - perhaps if we were sitting out in the awning we would have got one of those to go with it.

We purchased the Towsure Portico Plus awning and it failed the first night out - in not even a significant wind.  The quality of the stiching for the pockets holding the horizontal pole failed allowing the pole to pass through the stiched section.  Towsure did not want to know had provided a terrible aftersales service - so much so I will not be dealing with them again.  I have since had the pockets reinforced by a friend and am much happier with it - but it has been hassle I could do without.

We have had both and find the square gives more usable space, still like our proper awning though.
