there is a realy nice site in Ayside which is about a 5 min drive to Grange over sands and about a 15min drive to bowness on windermere called Oak Head, very friendly very clean and well priced £16 per night with hookup, we have booked to go back twice this year no bendy roads just dual carrage ways, hope this helps i think it would only take about 1 hour from blackpool, im in wigan and it takes me 1.15 to get there towing a trailer tent, but now that i have bought my first van we will be returning to oak head at the end of the month in the van hopt to see you there.
Just wanted to say hi. Its a great way of spending quality time together, our two children, age 2 & 4, love doing the water so much I've got a 2nd aquaroll to keep them quiet.!!! They absolutleley love going away in the caravan.
Oddly enough, we were in Blackpool this weekend, stayed at Hampton Road Social Club site. I was the terrified one on Sat afternoon on the Big-One rollercoaster.
