I have recently purchased a coachman with a fixed bed, underneath is a laminate flooring, should I put anything on this to stop things moving and to protect the floor.

I'd put a bit of carpet under there. Will also help with the warmth!

We've still got some of the protective plastic down, which we've left.  Never had any problems with things moving about - too much stuff for that.

Like DSB we still have the protective plastic down and never had any problem with things moving about. Just pack it correctly and you shouldn't have a problem.
We have all sorts under ours from tables and chairs to cadac to all odds and ends.

Hello we have a fixed bed coachman too, just this weekend we have had a big re-arrage, so under the bed is 4 large fold up chairs, tripod for satelite dish, and the dish, pair of levellers, spare bag of pegs, and other little bits and bobs that i could never find uner the front seats. We did have the awning under there, but felt it was a little heavy so its gone back over the centre, its amazing how much room there is under there !!!!
