I am new to caravanning and am looking for a small 2 berth, I have seen the Elddis Xplore 302 and we like the look of it. I was wondering if Elddis is a good make and if there are other vans of a similar size.

Welcome

Elddis - yes a good make.

The next nearest I can think would be a Lunar Ariva which is a very nice van and well thought of.

at glasgow I looked at the baby elddis and found it was way to small and overweight for its size, the lunar avviva they had on show was badly built. The new sprite finesse was by far the best of the vans under 1000kg, well finished inside and space to swing a hamster (not quite a cat but bigger than a goldfish lol)

We looked inside elddis 302 at the dealers it's a great van well made but it as someone else said quite heavy for a little un and very small internally you would have to get on really well with the person you are sharing it with lol
is a cute van tho, but I always think it looks as tho the back is missing
but elddis are s good make

http://www.elddis.co.uk/tourers/2301/xplore_302.html

Says it is the smallest and lightest UK built tourer in its class.

We looked at the 302 but didn't like the L shape seating. We like two long settees to lounge on! Also with the 302 you would have to put the table up every time you wanted to eat whereas with the two settee layout you get the fold out table on top of the chest of drawers which is big enough for two to eat. We found the Ariva too narrow and also quite expensive so we ordered the Sprite Finesse. Just waiting for a delivery date now....
