I lock the spare wheel carrier with a small padlock through the hanswheel bolt. This is protected with a plastic tub and lid.

lock it no i took the thing off what a farce to get the wheel on and off removed it and put my spare some where i may be able to get to it if i need it

After spending an hour under the caravan at 1am in the dark on the hard shoulder of the M62 struggling to get the carrier on our old Bailey out i would never have another.

Our Avondale has the wheel in the floor otherwise i would still carry it inside the van.
