we have a 1994 swift challenger 440se and the owners handbook gives awning size as 865cm and just to be sure we took our own measurement which was same so we know what size however we got an awning from a friend said itwas 875 to fit my van but it is just a bit short i think it does not fit the full way round awning channel just shy of rail for skirt roughly 10-20cms either side is this ok or to short. we also measured the actual awning just the part that goes in awning channel and it measured 740cms can anyone help tell me if this awning is right size

I said to measure the beading , but obviously that isnt right so,
if the beading doesnt go right to the end of the canvas , try measuring the length of the actual canvas , not counting the mudflap bit , that should be measuring about 875 if its a 875 awning.
yes it is wenz awning we measured the canvas just the part that goes into the rail and we got 740 i will measure my rail when i get home thanks yes canvas was touching the ground cant remember how much it was getting dark and a bit fed up if we put the full awning up to see would it make any difference a friend said she could call at the weekend to see for she had original awning for my van but a little mouse thaught it was verry tasty
if the canvas reaches the ground each side, and you can peg it down, then it should fit.
OK , the beading doesnt reach right to the bottom of your rail, but are there pvc flaps that fold in against the van to cut the draughts? , triangular sort of shaped panels attached to the awning canvas .
the only way to know for sure is to try it with the poles in .
Then ,if you can peg it all down , with no huge gaps at the bottom , it fits .
just out of intrest if this awning dosent fit would an awning 910-950 be way to big or does it matter if it is a bit big bareing in mind my awning size is 865 might go and take a look at another one
