David, my local dealer has stopped selling caravans.
This ease of servicing (& warranty work) around the country is a plus point for Bailey in my eyes.
My warranty work has included a new front panel on a 2.5 year old van so Bailey will approve major work from an other dealer, not just the supplying dealer.
..this is the way the pendulum seems to be swinging at the moment Zafiral. Thanks for sharing your experience.
We used Solihull caravans for our service, bought our van from west midlands caravan,it needed its 3rd service in april, for an extra £10 they came to our house and did it mobile, this saved us the aggro of a 15 mile trip and waiting around to collect or having to return. They were nice blokes and for for not being inconvenienced we will probably use them again.

Yes, I'm aware about the £10 mobile service. Just wondered if you have ever used Salop Caravans on the A41 near Cosford. I'd have thought it might have been nearer for you, but don't know if they do a mobile service. (Assuming your Stretton is the one near Brewood, on the A5).

No problems, how long have you got before the service is due?

A little time, but will soon need to be sorting something. 25th July was the purchase date. Would like to get it done just before this but, if we get stuck then we are OK up to 5th September (6 weeks either side is allowed according to Bailey Terms & Conditions). At the moment Solihull Caravans are working on about 4 week, so will really need to book as soon as we come back from Spring B.H. week.
We bought our new Pegasus 554 at the NEC last October not knowing the dealer was 200 mile away in North Yorkshire. We contacted Bailey at the time and they said no problem about Warranty work as we could use any of their Transient Warranty workshops for any work required. On taking delivery in January we have since found some small issues that need looking at, according to Bailey you can contact any of the Transient Warranty workshops who may do the work, but are under no obligation to! Still deciding on who to take it into to, had thought of Salop Caravans as bought a previous van from them, and had not issues. However they are not part of the Transient Warranty scheme so according to Bailey will only do work on those vans they sold. Was also advised by Bailey that it was best to contact service centes who dont sell new vans as they were more likely to do the work! Abit of a mine field really and the proof of the pudding so they say..... Interesting to know how you get on, as keep putting it off ourselves

Didn't realise that Salop were not part of the transient warranty scheme, but I checked it out and you are absolutey correct. I'm OK with Solihill Caravans though.
