Hi, I`m thinking of buying and fitting ALKO shockers to my van which has an ALKO chassis, the blue ones are the correct one for my vans weight but I have a Powrtouch model 1 mover fitted to the front of the wheels. Has anyone on here fitted shockers with a Powrtouch already fitted, is there enough space? would I have to move the motors at all to get the shockers fitted? My mover cannot be fitted to the rear of the wheels because of the spare wheel recess in the floor. Halfords have the blue ones online only for £69.99 with free postage as opposed to ALKO`s price of £83.99, they also have the red ones on for £36. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I`ve emailed ALKO and phoning Powrtouch for their advice.
Vectratot, sorry I can't comment regarding clearance for mover but if you find you can fit the shocks then I do recommend them.
I fitted a pair of the blue shocks earlier this year and was very surprised at the result as handling a noticeable improvement (not the the rig was unstable in anyway, but did have some 'bounce'). Also found the MPG has marginally improved too.
Easy to fit, about 15mins per side.
Thanks guy`s, O`leary`s is the cheapest looks like I`ll be buying from them. Went to have a good look at my van, dos`nt look like much room to claer the motor`s I risk buying them for £34.95 and if they are not going to fit I can always sell them on. I was thinking Halfords £69.99 was a bit to much to risk
