Get the brakes and the 'reverse override' checked out. As has been mentioned you need to know what weight you are towing. Just because your van has a MTPLM of say xx kg are you heavier. Remember that a motor mover will eat in to your loading allowance quite a bit.
Reversing uphill can also be helped with a style of 'cadence' clutch control. i.e. Up down up down etc so you do not have to slip the clutch.
