Hello. Please don't sigh at yet another awning size question as YES I have checked the archives and NO the answer is not there. My query is that I have a Swift Lynmere 2 Berth 2005 spec. First query is that I believe this is based on a Swift Charisma 220 (yet some of the paperwork I received with it states Charisma 230 and some 220? The other question I have is: Will a Bradcot Portico Plus Awning or a Dorema Toronto Porch Awning fit OK. I have spoken to several dealers today who have confused the issue by stating that the awning may have to fit over part of the window as my Van has a right opening door and the awning rail is not straight at the point to fit the top of the awning to, meaning that I would have to move it along which would bring it right over one of the windows (which is not a real problem but they said it would scratch the window???) Anybody able to advise me - Ideally somebody with either the definitive answer or somebody who has a Swift Lynmere 2 Berth (That is the one with the back kitchen not washroom). Help!!!

I have a two berth end kitchen...both my porch awnings go acroos the side window. Never been a problem with scratching for me.

On a porch awning its the rail height I seem to remember is the important measurment, then its a matter of sizing the floor print up to the van and seeing if you  like it and where the windows are etc..

If your van is an end kitchen then I believe it is the 220. The rail not being the same height at the edges, well neither is mine it slopes and curves....yes it makes a little difference but noting you cannot sort out by the pegging.

I have a suncamp scenic and a compactalite-250, both fit my small van nicely.

Thanks Chowey007.

It looks as if I can't avoid the awning covering part of the window.

I will have a look at the 2 awnings you have.

Thanks for your advice.
