Our caravan came with one of those Alko ones that locks into a receiver and we found it to be a real bind. If the receiver isn't EXACTLY in the centre of the spoke gap, it won't fit (difficult when you have to push the caravan back a bit to engage the brake). After a frustrating couple of hours on holiday once, trying to get the thing off after it jammed, we gave it up as a bad job.

Bought one of those orange Nemesis 'pincer' type ones - far better - easy to fit and very well made. Also very visible as a deterrent.
