hi, we have a 1990 abbey executive, and when i turn the water on at kitchen tape its soooooooooo slow and sometimes starts to choke and cough, its our first caravan and i never thought anything of it til saw my friends van and theirs is just as good as home, we dont have hot water just cold, wonder do we need a new pump or how would we know. we keep pump turned off when not bein used... thanks
Is your friends a newer van. I think the more modern pumps are more powerful so they can operate a shower. Choling & coughing is air in the system which you bleedd out by running the tap normally although a small leak can let more in.
possible pump is too old or to small and you need a better one like the 921.i know i do as i fitted a small pressure one and its rubbish at delivery.it may be letting in air somewhere and this is causing the spurting.check also it is not leaking outside when in use.seen a lot like this.if so new washers can be fitted inside the van socket.
Do you have a Carver water heater ? . If you have a chrome kitchen tap see if the end unscrews at the spout , as my caravan water flow was poor and i found the end of the tap had a filter in it which was pretty bunged up .
thanks for all your advise folks, i will get OH to check all them points at the weekend. next outing coming up on the 25th of this month..cant wait....
