Just had our 1993 Sterling super sprite 500/6 serviced for the 1st time since we bought it back in August last year from a dealer. Dealer said was a good van etc etc and gave a warrenty, but you never know.

Well it passed with flying colours no damp all areas well below 15% no other things wrong apart from a broken window stay.

So me and my wife are very happy, it will give us many more years of service

Could you please explain to me what this means?

Is there some sort of 15% bench mark?

Is a caravan not damp if the meter is below 15% of dampness and classed as damp if it is above 15%?

Having a glassfibre caravan, I would be having canaries if a meter showed any degree of dampness.
I have always considered Damp a lot like Pregnancy, and I have yet to come across anyone who was only 15% pregnant.

It means that even the ambiente air is damp so anything below the 15% is nothing to worry about and is basically normal.
