Hi,

We have recently upgraded to a lovely new van, but I dont think the water flow is right. The hot water runs smoothly, no problems, but cold kinda chugs along with the pump. Is this right? I dont recall our 1995 van doing this.

I would say that you have a pressure system and need a surge damper - the hot water tank is acting as a surge damper on the hot water which is the reason that is smooth.

I would have thought your van would already have one fitted,it will be in line on the cold water pipe leading from the inlet.

Mine does the same when im running on the internal pump but not when running on the external.
