Hi. I have a 2003 Swift Utopia 530 SE. The stick on coloured tape tape above the front windows has started peeling off so I removed all of it. It has left a sticky residue which I cannot remove. I've tried meths, white spirit, turps, sticky stuff remover but nothing will shift it. After a few days the dirt in the atmosphere just clings to it.I've tried various places to get replacement tape but without success. Does anyone know where I can get some tape or I'd be happy to not replace it if I could get rid of the sticky marks.Any suggestions please.
Tape, or decals as they are known, are available at The Caravan Centre which although in wales will do mail order.
To remove the sticky residue left by the existing tape go in to your nearest 'graffix' set up (look for signs & car wrapping in YP) and they should let you have some of the stuff that they use which won't harm the paintwork nor need the elbow grease required of other methods that you may hear of

We had the same problem when we bought our motorhome, new to us, there were stickers on one of the windows which when removed left a sticky residue, I was recommended to use nail varnish remover and a nylon pan scrubber. It worked a treat, just make sure you rinse with warm soapy water afterward to remove the smell and any residue. I was told to do a small patch test to make sure everything was o.k. which obviously it was.
Hi. Thanks for all your replies. Managed to get sticky stuff off quite easily with WD40. Van bodywork looks as good as new now so don't think I'll bother replacing decal. Thanks once again for all your advice.
