I have just purchased a 2.55 caravan store awning,
i have got a swift archway woodford, i have noticed the awning rail starts to run down a little, do you think i should be ok with this as i know the rafter as to stretch out. i was also told it does not need any stops in the awning rail as the awning wont move, is this correct.
With thanks

We have rail stops. The awning slid right back in high winds at Easter, so we bought them 'just in case'
Just a couple of quid and they're there if you need them.

Just one more thing forgot to ask, as the caravan store is resting on the awning light, is this ok, or could it damage the awning light. With thanks

i would be more worried about the weight of it doing damage to the rail and letting water in if this was left in place while towing. ------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

That's what they were designed for.

The awning may have been designed to stay on the awning rail, but was the awning rail designed to have a heavy weight bouncing around on it.

We always use the stops which come with a Caravanstore when you buy one. I have tried without and it tended to go to the rear when towing------------- Regards
