I did the CC towing course Fri and Sat morning and set off on 2 weeks holiday - towing for the 1st time - nervous, yes. But it didnt take too long before I felt not only comfortable but reasonably confident.

Dont get me wrong I dont know it all and have lots to learn and thankfully we will never have to rely on my reversing skills as we have a motormover!

The best bit of advice received (from this site!) TAKE YOUR TIME - If I wanted to slow down, I did - If I wanted to stop for a break, I did.  I managed to have eyes in the front, back and sides of my head for the first couple of days but I ended up enjoying it - especially as the agreement is I drive OH cooks!

Drove from Northumberland over a couple of days ending in Woodland Springs on Dartmoor - beautiful adult only site with wonderfully helpful owners.  Chris even managed to give us a Masterclass in putting up the awning - for which we were deeply grateful!

Thanks must also go to the owner of a twin-axle van who very kindly let us use his PC to sort us out for a CL site for coming back up north - sorry didnt get your name but you are now on a site in Cornwell and you know who you are (BTW the CL was really really good!).

All in all - cant wait to get on the road again!!

Liz
