Easy porch awnings wont fit because of the dip at the front of the caravan. I do have a Day Tent and was going to use that, but my son says thats no good, and I dont know if you can use this on a caravan site, never done caravaning before.
All this confusion is driving me mad, when there is just me and the grandchildren everthing fine, but no room when Mum & Dad turn up.

I've just ordered a Dorema Capri sun canopy (comes in various sizes) which was a good price for £140.

However, you do realise that a 'sun canopy' is just that - for providing shade from the sun, no good for sleeping under (unless you are likely to be in a guaranteed hot and dry part of the world ie. not the UK ).

I think you can use a small tent next to your van (call the site you want to go to in advance and ask) - otherwise a porch or full awning is the only option if you want people to sleep in it.

Our porch awning (and all of them, I believe) should fit on any van - it just slides into the awning rail and can be moved anywhere along the length of the van, so doesn't matter about any dips at the front etc...thats why porch awnings don't have sizes like a full awning.
