Did anybody watch those three idiots on Top Gear tonight. They make a real mockery of caravaning. I don't know how the police let them on the road with those contraptions. It was a wonder they didn't kill somebody.
My daughter is ten and laughed her head off, believing it was all real! especially when it went off the cliff at the end. Hammonds effort reminded me of the paper dolls house kits she builds, The programme was a bit like the one he did with the caravan that set on fire a while back - a set up!
Sorry but I found it hysterical - haven't laughed that hard in ages.
Always been a big fan of TG - love the whole anti-PC attitude. I don't believe 90% of what they say (I wouldn't be surprised if they have been on a caravan holiday themselves) but just love how they do it...
And it's the BBC - I bet they have every emergency service possible just off camera...

I turned it on, watched barely 5 mins and thought it was awful so changed channel! I have enjoyed Top Gear up to now but as with everything, when it gets 'popular' they ruin it! If thats 'popular' TV they can keep it. There is less and less that i now watch on TV. I'd rather be on here! Now thats real life!
Haven't watched this one yet but I do love the program - it's all tongue in cheek & they're really funny. I envy the 3 of them being paid so much money to behave like kids & have so much fun!
Yes it was funny but most people that are not caravaner's think it is real and as he said to the star on there tonight we all crap in a bucket in the corner. Talking about lorries, nobody on TV has a program like Clarkson to moan about them. I don't find lorries a problem anyway. I always seem to be going at the same speed as them. I have also read a couple of his books and been in stitches but I don't like them showing us up, it is about time he showed the inside of some of the luxurious caravans and how we all eat and sleep in comfort.
Yes no doubt, that is why I watch it, but come on it doesn't have to keep running us down no matter how funny it is. When people overtake, when you are doing 60mph on the motorway and not holding anybody up why do some people put a finger up as they pass.

Because they're jealous...you're on holiday and can afford an expensive caravan and big car...(well, that's how I view it ).
IMO, the reason people moan at us on the road is because it so easy to get away with - we can't chase them to 'discuss' it and everyone knows many caravanners are older and so they we aren't likely to hit them if we do catch up with them at the next services , like a truck driver would probably do...
