I have just wasted £46.50 on a pair of Milenco Grand Aeros with flat glass, not to my liking at all. Found convex mirrors, same as my car, much better.
We have convex mirros on both sides - its what hubby prefers.
David, are the Grand Aero mirrors only flat or do they also do convex? We have the Milenco Aero mirrors (tear drop shape?) but have thought of changing them for the Grand Aero. As our mirros are still in reasonable condition, we'll continue using them but when we change them it will be for the Grand Aero.

They do both and they are clearly marked on the box. It was my fault as I had thrown away my old mirrors before checking the Milenco ones properly. Don't get me wrong but they are very good quality mirrors but I just felt that I was not willing to invest another £46.50 to get the right ones. As I had used them I felt it was unfair to try and chang them at the dealers. I did contact Milenco direct as they are in MK but did not find them very sympathetic or helpful, it did not help that I was barking up the wrong tree but there are ways of telling people they are wrong

2 X Convex for me also, much better and i have the rock steady's, turn the so there vertical not horizontal, great view of van and road :)
i have a pair of grand aero milenco mirrors - nice big mirrors but they do vibrate a bit on my Kia Sorento - they fix to the car really well but they always need adjusting every time they are fitted. They seem well made and easy to fit. Not sure if they are convex or flat to be honest. If these mirrors are supposed to be top quality, the lower grade ones must be almost un-useable as the view in them 'shakes' as you driving along making for a less than perfect rear view. I have driven many 7.5t trucks with much better mirrors, eg less shake, better view. I wonder why it is so hard to make a decent set of towing mirrors?
------------- Why am i doing this instead of camping??!!

I have the flat screen and find them fine personally as they are the same as my car. I also have them vertical as they are much more steady like that.
I have ordered the extra wide arms for these as my Series 7 is 7Ft 6in wide and its a bit awkward to get a perfect view down each side.
Dave.

I was told by Milenco that all car mirrors are convex and initially I did not believe them until I checked my car mirrors, easy to do with a flat edge, and was annoyed that Milenco were right
Hi, bought a pair of those Milenco suck on type mirrors £40?, very good steady mirror, was not impressed with the very tiny veiwing area, waste of money as far as veiwing area gose.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
that is a bit of a surprise, they can't be very convex I think. I did once try some convex mirrors and although I could see a lot more out of them, everything was too small and I had difficulty judging distance and speed. I just couldn't get on with them, they had to go, I just thought that they were all the same.
Damn fine mirrors though, doit, have you tried fitting them with the mirror vertical, long side up & down? This made a big difference to wind vibration in my case. The extra width arms should mean I dont have to have the clamps so close together, that should make then even more steady.
