I was so thrilled to buy my new Sunncamp Encore, having researched the best buy for what I needed and it looked fab when errected - however this is day 3 of our holiday - we have had some rain, not torrential but steady yesterday and light showers today, the awning is like a sieve, I am so disappointed, I have rang the shop I bought it from and they have said for me to take photos and bring it back to them, has anyone else had the same problem?. The areas which leak are the seams at the top of the awning just inside the awning after the rail and from where there are ties inside to tie up the inner roof pole, its like it just isnt waterproofed. Also stitching came away (before it was even used) in the little inner tent pod - not happy.
Hi awning finder.
As in post above, sent ours back immediately after checking it on the front garden.
Much heavier than advertised, then there was a big hole in the roof.
Hubby quite liked it, but I was glad I had an excuse to send it back, I just didn't like it.
Good luck with a refund and replacement.

we had the same problem with our encore with leaks along the stitching however to be totally honest we also had the same problem with our bradcot awning. I used a can of spray waterproofing along the seams of the encore and having come back from 2 weeks in a sometimes wet and windy Cornwall can confirm this solved all of the leaks.
I think that the design of the awning is great and good value for money however I think that they have some quality issues to address. After 3 weeks of use we have rust on two of the upright poles. I will be taking this up with Waudbys and Sunncamp so am hoping that they react positively to the quality issues.
On a separate note the issue of weight on the encore has been discussed on various other postings. The weight is not as indicated however when comparing the weight of the encore with other similar awnings you need to take into consideration the std items included with the encore such as roof poles , rear poles, annex etc all of which need to be added to the weight of other manufacturers of similar awnings.
In conclusion personally I think that the encore design is great, it is good good value for money, has stood up well to some fairly strong winds (force 5-6) however all of the above are let down by some issues relating to quality, which hopefully sunncamp will respond to in a positive manner
