I have been looking at going from our tent to a Caravan instead....due to the dodgy back mainly,  and have seen a few reasonably priced ones. However, my wife has said that some sites will not allow caravans of a certain age on site. I'll probably be getting something around the 1992-95 mark to try it out. I would like to know the answer to this before buying a Caravan, and finding out that we can't site it.

Help please.

I've never seen a site that says how old a tourer has to be unless its to be sited seasonally and then only once.  Static caravans have that rule.  Our 1st caravan was 30 years old and we had no problems

Thanks again for all your help...I will certainly let you know what I get. We have an outing in our current tent.(40 sq mtrs) on the week of the 16th, and wll start my search after that.

Its usually Statics, most sites expect them to be under 10 years old.

I always see ancient caravans on sites when we go and they are still going strong - lets hope mine is in 30 years time.
