Yay Success - just by chance OH was going through service details in the service book when I spotted this paragraph on page 5 of service book:

Change of Ownership - Transfer of Lunar Warranty

"The warranty may be transferred to a new owner if the caravan is sold.  This is providing the caravan has been serviced by an approved Lunar Service Centre.  The details of change of owndership shojuld be forwarded to Lunar Caravans, Aftersales Department (Lunar address etc) by completing the change of ownership form enclosed at the back of this booklet and by providing purchase history and an administration payment (doesn't say what this is) chargeable on transfer to have the new owners details recorded on our database"

Well phew!  Dealer said the form should be in the back of the Lunar manual not service book which still stated that the Lunar Warranty was not transferrable.  As previous owner had it serviced at the dealer he purchased it from prior to the 1st anniversary of its purchase we should be all systems go & any admin charge will surely be worth the peace of mind!!!!

I dont think I've any chance with mine then, as the van was first bought in Feb 2009 and sold to a dealer prior to the 1 year service. Then I bought it in June, so it wasnt serviced until June by a company that isnt Lunar recommended.

May still ring them to check it out though as they might be lenient.
