Am I correct in thinking the Olympus is the new Ranger replacement?
We were looking at the Pegasus and Olympus yesterday and the Olympus seems much nicer than the Peggy yet I thought it was meant to be the entry level model?
I thought Olympus was new Ranger, Pegasus new Pageant and Unicorn new Senator.
Hi Claire, Your correct, the unicorn isnt available till begining of September, but think some dealers maybe getting them in at the end of August!! Ordered a Barcelona and its being delivered 6th September (can't wait) think the RRP is £19,695.00 and the web page goes live on the 12th of this Month. Im new to all this.... and caravaning!!!! but hope this is of some use. mac

No the pegasus was the senator replacement, but some senator owners wanted to get the feel of the senator with an upgraded interior. They have produced the Unicorn to bring the senator owners with them into Alutec. The unicorn is far superior to the senator in looks and equipment. Some people felt the pegasus was too plain and modern for them and wanted a more homely feel. The olympus was the pageant replacement.
I personally don't like the Senators or the look of the Unicorn. I liked the Pegasus as soon as I saw it and could for the same money got a senator. Each to their own.

As an avid Bailey disliker, Im sorry to say that the Unicorn is a cracking van but still looks like a breeze block on wheels!
I agree. At least it looks a little bit more inviting than the others with the dreadful white walls!!!!
johnks - We've recently taken delivery of an Olympus having upgraded from a ranger - one of the things we really liked was the wipe clean white walls!!

Sorry but we find them terribly cold an uninviting!
Good job we are all different or we would still be buying the gipsy caravans of the past!
cant beat the clean white walls and when you`ve got all your odds and ends on board , looks as homely as any other van and nothing like a bare van on a dealers forecourt.

Hi Esther,
Oooo. Looking is dangerous!
Bailey have said (at least at the moment) that the Unicorn is a limited edition van. The Pegasus has replaced the Senator. Bailey have officially said they are building no more Senator's, shortly after introducing the Pegasus. They have now introduced the Olympus and like you, I prefer the overall look of it, but don't like the fact that it is 4" narrower. One retailer I spoke to was a little dubious about the Olympus kitchen work surface, saying he thought it might scratch easily (or show the scratches).
As far as I am aware, Bailey have not yet officially said they are stopping the Pageant (I had the conversation with CC insurance in July), but personally I would think it is just a matter of time - they don't seem to be making any at the moment, but the way I understand it is that they do them in batches, and if no-one has shown to be especially bothered about them, then no doubt they will not schedule in a build. I think the future of the Ranger will also be in question.
