Hi.  Never added a topic before, so sorry if it's a silly question.

We've just put up our porch awning for the first time since Easter (Suncamp Ultima 390) and 2 of the rubber pegging ladders have broken and come off.  How do I replace them?

I know I can buy new ladders from Towsure but I don't see how I'm supposed to attach them through the loops in the awning without unpicking the stitching and re-sewing (I can sew but don't think it would hold that well!!)

I wouldn't bother but they're the rubbers that hold the awning close to the 'van, so a little on the important side in order to stop the rain!

thanks for your help in advance

When that happened to ours I got some heavy duty rubber rings and simply looped the ring back on itself through the awning loops. You need flexible rubber for it work well. As an emergency fix I have a section of old car inner tube which can be cut into suitable rings - not pretty, but they work very well and the stretch on the rubber acts as a shock absorber protecting the awning.

Not a silly question at all, I will be interested to read the answer myself. Welcome to the Forum.

Dave.

Just get some rubber loops like these,
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.towsure.com/product/1951egging rubbers

just slip them through the fabric loops on the awning , push loop part through first and the top piece stays at the top.

or as previous poster said, get plain rubber loops and slip through and then double back through itself. both types available from any caravan or camping shop.
good selection here
