What times would you phone sites between re booking? I ask as we dont want to phone to late or too early but need to ideally book in tomorrow (insurance been messing us around after a break-in, so lost 4 days holiday and just want to get booked in

Email anytime, mobile phone anytime (people can turn them off) Landline - reasonable hours ie not before 8:30am or after 7:00pm I'd say.

I would say that's fine. After all they run a campsite, they will be up and about.

I agree 8.50am is not too early.  I'd probably phone about 9am and no later than 6pm.  And would avoid lunch times between 12-2pm.

Phone is in the office and about 9ish wardens open the office ready for the day. Folks arrive after 12 so there may not be much point staying in the office til lunchtime. So off they go to tidy up, empty bins, do the loos etc. So at 8.50 there is probably more chance of catching them in the office.

I wouldn't bother calling between 11 and 1 as they are likely to be busy getting departures away and arrivals on site. I normally use email.

Different story with a CL or a CS though as this is not their primary business. If I call these I usually call late afternoon / early evening. They could be in work during the day as you don't know what their primary business is.

Where available, email or online booking is my prefered method, but I don't like using the phone much anyway. I'm also one of the odd ones who uses a self service till in the supermarket even when a regular one is free.

We phoned and ehus all booked up but a friend knows a farmer with sited vans in Summer, so he has let us on as a favour (lovely man) £14 a nite with ehu . Criccieth is a fab place.
Thanks all for your help, feel much more confident about booking in the future now :).We had a lovely day today finished off by chips sat on the seawall then a walk along the beach :)
