Planning our fuel stops for Essex to Loch Lomond trek, can anyone comment on fuel access at Tebay or Southwaite services on M6 northbound. Sorento and 24ft van.
For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Should maybe have said "fuel exit" ratther than access!!
Again no problem whatsoever at either services.

Lobey, We're at the Luss cc&c site. Gonna see if we can get 2 weeks of rain for the 3rd year running!!! Must love the area cos we keep going back!
I love the area that much, I live just 9 miles from Luss as the burdies fly.
Lobey,we're even contemplating moving up there!! Might have a look around at the housing market while we're up. Do you know if theres much in the way of caravan storage up that way?
Google Street View covers quite a lot of the service areas, though usually just the "car" route through but if you're lucky you can see quite a lot and I find it quite helpful as a planning tool

I don't know of any around Luss but there is a big caravan/yacht storage place about 100 yards along the road (B833) from me in Rosneath Village.
This is the Rosneath place that does storage for both Yachts and Caravans.
There are loads of houses for sale around here and being on the "right side" (the outside) of the National Park, we have all the benefits of the park without the restrictive rules associated with such places.
DRB Marine is at the top of the long jetty that you see left middle of the pic. Out village is immediately above that. That is the Gareloch and Garelochhead is at the top of the loch.
The two spits of land at the loch's entrance is known as The Rhu Narrows and the village of Rhu is on the right with all the yachts at anchor.

wow, what a picture, thanks for the info Lobey. Quite jealous of you living round there. Does Faslane cause much bother?
In what way?
The main road bypasses the base and apart from the odd unwashed Peace Camper, there is not much to be seen from the road.
Sorry to but in after so many butquick tip for refuelling on long trips, dont fill up at services, come off the motorway and fill up at ASDA/Morries, stores are not far way from motorway, maps on google.
