Hi sorry if this subject has come up in the past but from when I started camping to even owning my first caravan I've always pegged out from the outside due to the rubber hoops being outside of the tents awnings etc. Now I have a full awning a porch awning & even just aquired a sunshade that all have the pegging out hoops on the inside. Does anyone have any good techniques as to how to peg it out easier? As I'm getting in a right pickle
I thought most awnings have loops/elastics/ladders etc on the outside for pegging on the outside and then the mud flaps tuck under and are pegged on the inside. I could be mistaken but...... ?
My porch awning is pegged from the inside. It's mainly experience and practice. I always peg from the caravan wall outwards. I may be wrong, but it works for me.
Thats how I used to peg my regular awnings & follow it round & never had any problems. I just find awnings with hoops on the inside a right pain. Just makes more sense to me to have them outside. I guess more practise is needed.
lift the mud flap up from the outside pull the ladder stap though and bang a peg in all the way then lay mud flap down over the pegs thats the way i do it with my porch awning then will not have the pegs and straps inside the awning area
Cheers peter I tried what you said on saturday and it worked out much better. Just wish the weather would improve not as we've had to wind proof the awning.
