Hi eddy, your battery may have had power drawn from it, by say alarm if fitted,or fridge on 12V setting, as your are running the fridge overnight, the battery should be getting a good charge,so all should be fine with it, I take it you will be useing EHU on site, If you suspect power drain from an other source, switch that off or Isolate battery, If in storage for long periods you could take battery out and charge periodicaly, hope that helps, and enjoy your trip.

If in Doubt Check it Out.
When we had a flat battery we charged it up overnight indoors.
can you attach it to your car with jump leads and rev it up a while to boost the battery charge first .this helped us when we had no charge in battery.
Ours didnt charge sufficiently on hookup over a weekend to run our water pump or lights.
I'm no expert , will the battery charge up while you are driving tomorrow?
Ours didn't as we only have single electrics. I think you need twin electrics to charge the battery while towing.
yes the site i am going to will have hookup so battery will be on charge for the week & also from the car while im driving 330 miles up there in the morning,
can anyone tel me do i fit a switch on the stereo to stop l.e.d. draining in the battery..
cheers

Hi eddy, Sorry so late in getting back to you, can the stereo not switch off (if not it will draw power into the stereo on stand by) then yes fit switch to switch it off completly to be on safe side,(if battery still drains then the fault lies elswhere).

That's in the lap of the Gods. You may be lucky (I have on several occasions) and it will charge back up. Check the electrolyte level and top up with distilled water (must confess, I always use tap water and never had a problem).
However, even if the battery is kaput, if you are on EHU it's not really a major issue.
The fridge should not run off the leisure battery, even on 12 volts, it should run from the car battery which is being topped up by the alternator.
As regards a switch for the radio, the better option would be to either fit a battery isolator or disconnect the battery when in storage. This eliminates the possibility of something else being left on or faulty causing the battery to discharge. Even if you have a tracker or alarm, it could be wired so these remain connected up and everything else is disconnected. If you do have these things, a solar panel would be advisable as they do draw current and given a long enough period will flatten the battery unless it is being replenished.
