We have been to view a 2004 Bailey Ranger 550/6.  We took a damp meter with us and it seems just fine.  There was a problem with damp 2 years ago and the rear panel was replaced under warranty.  The owners want £7,500 for it with all equip - we are looking to offer between 6,800/900.

My question is would you consider a van that has already had a damp problem even if it has been rectified???? - Is there anything else we should be aware of with this model??

Any sign of damp ever being in a van and I would back off. Seems expensive for a 6 year old Bailey.

the problem with the caravan was probably due to stress cracks in the plastic panel thes panel cracks are common in most makes of caravan of the period 2003 to 2007

Bailey it would seem have replaced the panel under warranty so you can be sure that all traces of damp caused by the cracks were dealt with. Check the curves of the plastic front & rear panels for signs of cracks between the awning rails & the plastic panel particulary the curve from the cross roof seal down the edge of the panel .& just above the front window hinges. if there is no cracking then the van is ok
