does anyone know what size wheel and tyre the 1994 abi brightstar should have,i have just noticed the spare wheel which was so say on the van is a 14inch with a 175r 14 tyre, the wheels on the van are 13inch with 175r 13c tyres i thought something was a miss as soon as i tried to remove the spare from the front locker it was bloody tight had to force it out
Hi cuz62, If tyre in locker very tight fit, in all probability it is wrong size, and ones on van are the correct size, If it is the original wheel with van, then the van ones have been changed (maybe hard to get the 14in tyres) If you have specification sheet for van, that will give you the correct tyre size, pressure, and rim size, If you do not, then maybe some of the members on here that have the 1994 abi brightstar could give you the details.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.

i have no specification sheet for the van thats why i asked,i have been searching the internet with no luck,it looks like the brightstar is the same as the dawnstar just a different layout if anyone has one
Hi cuz62, Should try asking Garry at the wizard site or arc systems on this forum, they seem to get thier hand on stuff that is very difficult to get any info about, failing that will neeed to wait till brightstar/dawnstar owners come along.

The spare is wrong, don't know why it's there but with that tyre on will be far too big to fit, A 94 van will originally be on 13 inch rims which makes your van wheels correct.
The van tyres are also correct for the weight of your van, 175x13C (Commercial tyres) come in two types, (6 and 8ply), with different load limits that require different pressures, after the size then, you will find the load index number which tells which they are and in your case will be either 94 or 97? Tell what it is and the all up weight of your van and I can give you the correct pressure.
Why your at it, you should also be able to find the date code, it's after the letters 'DOT' on the side wall close to the rim. this is a week and a year like 2405 which is 24th week of 2005, the code is only stamped on one sidewall so might be on the inside, but it's generally excepted this should date the tyres no more than seven years old,
Regardless of age though and more importantly, check all sides of the tyres for cracks or lumps and bumps, any sign of these and the tyre should be changed.
