Help! Does anyone know if it is possible to re-tension a Seitz caravan blind, and if so, how? and should I do it in situ, or should I remove the whole assembly? We took delivery of a second-hand Swift Challenger 490SE caravan at the weekend and one of the window blinds had stuck. I removed the blind clips to try and free it, but lost my grip on the blind and it sprung back up into the housing! Can I get it back?! Regards Mike.

We had a similar problem with a Seitz blind recently.  Ours had torn and we took it down, took it home where we had more room and turned it round.  We were pretty chuffed with ourselves until we realised that we had lost all the tension but with a lot of tips from this forum we managed to retension it and replace it. Now it's like new.  We had "a lot of fun" retensioning the blind and my fingers were sore for days but it worked. Search the forum for tips - there's a lot of info out there,

Good luck

Alison

Brill, thanks for the advice Alisonmc, I took your advice, searched similar related posts and found the solution. I took the blind down, retensioned it in accordance with the advice, re-assembled it, and fixed it back and BINGO! it works perfectly! Isnt UKCampsite.co.uk forum fantastic! What a brilliant community and advice forum. With Kind Regards. Mike.
