Hello all,

We are currently looking into offering a storage facility for caravanners and various other types of leisure vehicles.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback regarding storing your caravan's, such as criteria for choosing a storage site? Rates? Security? Hard standing ground? Access?

Our site has full perimeter fencing, CCTV, hard standing ground, close links to motorway network and easy access in and out of the site.

As I said, we are new to this so any feedback from the experts will be greatly appreciated!

We've got running water available, should have mentioned that!

Along with power on site and suitable lighting.

Do you provide air? Most garages are a nightmare for getting the caravan next to the air pump?

CCTV?

Gold Standard CoSSOA? probably better for insurance purposes for your clients

At present we don't have the facility for an air compressor, however given the nature of the business we will be operating from the site it is highly likely we will be purchasing a compressor in the near future which would be available for use on stored caravans.

Yes the site has full CCTV with direct alerts going to the police and site tenants in the event of it being activated.

As for CoSSOA, we have enquired about the site being approved and we believe we will be able to satisfy the CoSSOA to a Gold standard if we decide to proceed.

what about the caravaners who are on a tight budget like myself

We would facilitate owners by having the caravan ready to be collected and help with hitch on/off.

We are aiming to be very reasonable with our prices, given that we have more than enough space to store many caravans we feel we can offer high quality and secure storage a very reasonable prices.

Well after much sweat and toil I'm glad to report that the site is very nearly ready to start accepting caravan's!

A substansial area of land is available, we are looking to accept up to 20-30 caravan's in our first year.
