Thanks from me too - we want to do a bit more to our old gal too. Mrs Z already made a huge difference just with throws (just tucked in) she's made new curtains & loose cushions.

We do want to upgrade the foam though & when we do we'll recover the seats properly. Also we want to replace the carpet, it's new & nice but won't be for long with dogs & muddy walking boots !

There's a nice tray covering a scuffed bit on the wall just now - we'd like to fix ithat up properly though - maybe I should start a new thread ? If anyone here can tell me though I'll not bother....

Murano good luck with all that, nice to see your old caravan staying in the family eh ?

Zorro is it a scuff in the wall board? Has it taken some if the covering off, I scuffed our home wallpaper once before we were moving , so I got some acrylic artists paints and sponged and painted ( luckily it was sponge effect wallpaper) and matched it in, it was so good even if I say so myself lol you couldn't tell, just wondering if you could do somthing like that.
I'm really glad the old van is still in the family she did us proud and taught us loads , I love love older vans, somthing really special about them, i like my van don't get me wrong, but it definatley dosnt have the character of the older ones, I always think older vans when you sit in them give you a hug ( I know I sound mad but who cares eh)

wishing you and mrs Z all the best In your future restorations .

Don't know all this technical stuff murano ! - what's walk board ?  or was that a typo & d'you mean wall ?!!! It's on the wall just above the worktop where there's a socket. The stuff it's made of I would guess is made of hardboard with some sort of vinyl-type coating - shiny stuff. Can't see paint sticking & staing on somehow sadly.

Maybe fablon would do the trick ? It's just one ' panel', not too big as under a wall cupboard too.

He he fast editor lol , oh yes I didn't think of that being shiny, hmmm let me give it some thought , but fablon is excuse the pun fab, we found it a godsend in the old van, when we stripped out the cupboards because of damp , OH got a bit heavy handed and damaged some of the wood effect ply at the sides and I found some fablon that matched and you would never know :) it's FAB lol

I have done up my 41 year old van - painted the wall, ceiling and cupbords, used fablon on the cupboard doors and pelmets, new foam seats with new covers, curtains and cushions.

She isn't to everyone's taste but I love her!
