Most gravel pits or quarries will weigh it for you, some may ask you to pay if you want them to provide you with a ticket showing the weight.

You could ask your local council office for the public weighbridges in your area or you could call in & ask at any commercial vehicle dealerships, they should weigh new vehicles for taxation & will know where weighbridges are.

If you have a vehicle check point operated by VOSA they'll weigh the unit for you. It's a long while since I was up in Staffordshire but is there not one just by J15 in the old Pandora yard?

There is one near Rugeley we have used - it's about £10 and you get 2 goes, if I remember correctly.

I have feeling that there is one next to Garners Garden Centre at Silverdale not far from N Staffs Caravans
