check your battery connections inside the toilet compartment it maybe a short i did and found they were corroded to excess,still working but not for long i would have thought.i removed it and soaked in boiling water.cleaned the contacts with a nail file.sprayed with WD40 and replaced the batteries.violent shaking of the cassette will dislodge the float but as a rule it stops working.
