anyone an idea why the empty me light is on dimly even when emptied   is the float sticking maybe ..thanks

check your battery connections inside the toilet compartment it maybe a short i did and found they were corroded to excess,still working but not for long i would have thought.i removed it and soaked in boiling water.cleaned the contacts with a nail file.sprayed with WD40 and replaced the batteries.violent shaking of the cassette will dislodge the float but as a rule it stops working.

Definitely a short between the connectors near the fuse - happened to me when the seal leaked

New lip seal on the blade will cure this - around £13 and 15 minutes work
