I'd just like to take the opportunity to introduce myself...
My names Mark, and I'm new to caravanning, having acquired an aged (like myself) Compass Lynx. The main reason being to take off into the New Forrest with my Jack Russell when weather permits... hoping to get away at least one more time before winter sets in.
Anyhow, I'd just like to take the opportunity to thank the people of the forum for all their advice... I've been 'lurking' for some time and the forum search function has never failed to answer my questions yet!
Hi Mark and welcome to UKCS. Like you, I am an aged dog owner (me not the dog) Owning a van is ideal as you dont have the worry if your dog has a "mishap" during the night or decides to chew the furniture (No embarrassing interviews or large bills from irate hotel owners) It also gives you a good opportunity for lots of convenient walks with dog. You will also find that the majority of sites are dog friendly so you will have the opportunity visit loads of nice places.

I was just thinking I hate this site. I log on in the morning and before I know it it is afternoon and I have done NOTHING all day but read all the helpful advice and chatter that is on here. I have learnt so much from this site and not all about camping and caravanning. This place is a mine of information, I just wish I could log off sometimes and clean the house. Nah!!!
