We still like the layout of our 2006 Avondale Eagle with `L` shaped lounge, fixed bed and separate toilet and shower, a layout I haven`t seen on any other van but aside from the damp, damaged windows, blocked pipes, and other stuff I won`t go into (all repaired now) its a nice van. Our local Avondale dealer said at the time that the older vans were far better put together than the newer ones. A bit of quality control would have worked wonders and maybe they wouldn`t have gone under through lack of people going back to them?

Hi gasmansteve, as ours is a 2008, I just hope that we will not find the dreaded damp etc.  Was yours a recent repair and did you have much of a problem finding a dealer to fix an "out of business" van?

Cheers

Carol

Hi Carol
The damp was in its 3rd year so that would be about May 2009 and we used the same dealer (Fry`s nr Driffield) who used to be the Avondale dealer before they went under. They still had some Avondale wall boards and other stuff so it wasn`t really a problem and I think a lot of caravan stuff is interchangeable between makes. Our warranty was a 5yr one and Fry`s do any work we need on it. It will run out next year so debating getting a new van??.
Cheers
Steve
