Hi all, three weeks ago we got a new bailey Olympus 534, our first van after years of tt and fc's
Really please with everything apart from the helicopter noise we get eveytime we turn on a tap. The heater / pump is situated under one of the seats in the living area. I have read through the user manual Nd. Followed the instruction to the letter, I have drained the system and refilled, it did seem to help a little but still very noisy.
Is this normal, or am I making a school boy error?
Any advice or tips really welcome, I am thinking of reporting to our dealer but as new to the world of caravans just wanted to seek advice first.
Hi we have a new olympus and yes its normal for the pump to make that noise, like you we thought there was something wrong contacted our dealer and they said its normal, since then I've spoken to peggy and olympus owners and we all got that noise, We have just spent 2 weeks away in her and to be honest we have gotten used to it now and dont seem to hear it. Hope this helps.
we got our new sterling last Nov and its a lot noisier than our FC and last caravan that had an outer pump that went in the aqua roll.
I think its just what we have to put up with.I put a similar post to yours when we first used it and i got replies saying its vibration put isulation/rubber seal between pump and floor.
We have got used to it and it sounds a lot louder inside caravan than outside.
thanks for the feedback, at least it would seem it is not down to me. I am however astonished this is normal. My brother and sister in law have a Sterling and they have never suffered noise
