Hi, we have just spent our first night in our new caravan, a Lunar Ultima 524 2005, to test everyhting out.
The water seems to run very slow, especially compared to the 2 Bailey's in the family. Is this normal?
It was a particular nuisance when trying to shower, even slow filling the kettle.
The pump seemed to be working just so slow, it is not the Whale pump so we couldn't try theirs to check. When the pump stops running it seems to leave the pipe sucked in.
We also had a problem with the gas, we think this is a poor regulator, couldn't even heat two saucepans at the same time. Just not much flame at all.
We can't fasten the fly screen on the rooflight either, think something might be missing on this.
Water pump, is it a submersible one or an onboard one?
Check for blocked filters on the end of the pipe especially if an onboard pump
Submersible pumps come in different flow rates - your pump could be a smaller flow rate than the ones being used on the Baileys - it could be a tap problem but not really on all your taps
If you have the bulkhead regulator from Truma then it could be blocked by oil - if you change it use a different manufacturer it should work better.
Can't help you with the fly screen as I only have one on the Remi

That would be the Carver or Truma crystal, you can get more powerful pumps to fit them I believe even Whale make them with the crystal end on them. There are also a number of pumps around that you can plumb and rewire on to the crystal end which is a cheaper option - for a good flow I would recommend a pump capable of at least 11 litres per minute

We have the same van so do try to re regulate your water flow. This is under the offside front bed it's a white screw which you turn till it clicks (with water running) then turn back til flow improves and pump turns off in around 8-10 seconds. Hope this helps. Have you turned gas fully on as a friend of ours had same problem and found that gas turn on was stiff and had not fully turned it on.
Hi ,the fly screen on the roof light fastens by clicking it to the night screen . These sort of interlock together. Did you buy private or from a dealer, or the latter if so then I would go back to them.

Well that happens on my Remi but the MPK ones seem to be different - can't tell as both screens are missing and as the last MPK is due to be replace by another Remi I've never bothered to find out

Thanks for the replies, the dealer posted us a new regulator, which we fitted and now have perfect flames.
We took the caravan to Matlock and had a much cosier weekend than if we were still in the folding camper.
The water though we cant sort, is there any way of testing a pump to see if this is definitely the problem. Don't really want to spend on one to find it still doesn't sort the problem.
We are going back to the dealers on Saturday, they think we are missing a clip for the skylight which they will sort for us hopefully.
Hi get your dealer to regulate the water flow AFTER they have checked the pump. The pump should be good enough to give a good water flow otherwise you won't be able to have a decent shower. Hope all goes well .
Also check that the tap outlets are not blocked with scale or debris. I had to de-scale mine recently after a couple of seasons use in hard water areas.
